In too many places, students of color and low-income students don’t have equal access to the very strongest teachers. However, champions across the country, including many district leaders, are stepping up to change these patterns. The Education Trust convenes a handful of these district leaders throughout the year so that they can share their approaches and learn from one another.
Functioning as a laboratory of leading-edge practice, each district in the network has a coherent plan in place for altering inequitable teacher distribution patterns. In addition, we partner with experts at the Education Delivery Institute and Targeted Leadership Consulting to support the districts to implement their plans and monitor progress.
As the districts implement these plans, we are working to learn from their efforts and share lessons with the field.
