Ana Henriquez

Digital Communications Associate

Ana Henriquez is the digital communications associate at Ed Trust, where she works alongside the digital team to create social, email, and website content that prioritizes education equity.

Prior to joining Ed Trust, Ana gained writing and editing experience as the editor-in-chief for the student newspaper at Prince George’s Community College. In this role, Ana wrote a variety of different stories, mostly advocating for students and the issues they care about pretraining to their campus experience and education.

Ana is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland in College Park, where she holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?
In my free time, I enjoy reading fiction books and cooking.

What drew you to education?
My experience as the first person in my family to graduate college gave me a great understanding of the hardships that people of color and people from low-income backgrounds face when it comes to receiving a higher education. I am lucky to have graduated debt free. Now, helping others by providing them resources and advocating for them has been a passion of mine ever since.
