Interim Co-Executive Director of The Education Trust-West
Carrie is Interim Co-Executive Director at The Education Trust–West, an advocacy organization committed to closing opportunity and achievement gaps. Since joining the organization in 2010, she has researched current conditions and advanced policy solutions in areas such as school funding, accountability, teacher effectiveness, and public transparency in California. She previously worked for the national charter school network, the KIPP Foundation, as director of research and evaluation. She has also worked for the national afterschool provider Citizen Schools, and for an arts advocacy organization, Americans for the Arts. Her career in education began as an AmeriCorps VISTA, supporting afterschool, tutoring, and arts education programs in Riverside, CA. Carrie holds a B.A. from Carleton College and an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
