Kathleen Fox Holler

Kathleen is originally from Cleveland Ohio. She was identified with significant learning disabilities in math, reading and written expression at the age of 15. She became a self-advocate in high school, getting Rocky River City Schools to provide accommodations for her learning disabilities. Kathleen is a wife and mother of five daughters ages 10-16. Four of her daughters have autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD and mental health challenges. She has worked part- time for the Autism Society of NC for six years as an Autism Resource Specialist and Parent Advocate. She served on the North Carolina Council of Developmental Disabilities for the last 5 years and served as Vice Chair for 2 of those years. She also served on the NCDPI Exceptional Children’s Council for the last 5 years. In 2017, she received the Trillium Health Resources MCO/LME Triple “A” Awareness, Advocacy and Assistance Award for my service to individuals, families and the community.

Kathleen received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Mercyhurst College (now a university- located in Erie PA) with a degree in Social Work. She was the first student in their Learning Differences Program to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Kathleen served as a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio in the areas long-term care and Hospice until 2004.
