Nikcole Whipple

Nikcole Whipple is an enrolled member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes, located in Mendocino County in Northern California. Nikcole earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from National University, and is employed by Mendocino College as an outreach specialist and adjunct administrative justice instructor. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Indigenous Peoples Law at the University of Oklahoma.

A member of the Yuki tribe and committee secretary, Nikcole drafted restorative justice initiatives with fellow committee members, tribal leadership, and state officials to atone for the genocide of her ancestors by California’s First Chief Justice, Serranus Hastings. AB 1936 passed the assembly and senate with full support and no objections to strike Hastings from UC Hastings School of Law.
