Om Patel, Student Member

Om is a sophomore in high school with a passion for conceptual learning and robotics. He believes that the solutions to many challenges, both in the present and those that may arise in the future can be found within Artificial Intelligence. Knowing that technology often moves faster than policy and law, Om supports efforts to include ethical technology instruction in the daily curriculum of all grade levels. This is in hopes that the next generation of thinkers will have a strong foundation in technology built with ethics in mind. According to Om, the days of thinking that Transformers are only possible in movies are over. With this in mind, he believes that all students should acquire a basic understanding of the possibilities of tech and how they can be active participants and professionals in the growing technological world around them. Om plans to double major in mathematics and robotics with a minor in international policy.
