Jovanda Irving

Justice Fellow

Jovanda Irving holds a master’s degree in positive psychology and a bachelor of science in psychology, with plans to enter a Ph.D. program. After spending 14 years incarcerated, she transformed her lived experience into a foundation for leadership, advocacy, and systems change. Jovanda has developed curriculum for educators, taught inside correctional facilities, and worked directly with justice-impacted individuals to expand access to education and personal development.

As the founder of Tri7ecta LLC, she leads trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent, and AI-integrated training initiatives that support reentry professionals and organizations in building ethical, human-centered systems. Her work bridges lived experience with research, innovation, and measurable impact. A published writer whose non-fiction essay “The God of Pleas” appeared in Iron City Magazine, Jovanda is passionate about disrupting cycles of mass incarceration through education, technology, and healing-centered practice. She is also a proud mother to a daughter pursuing a degree in criminal justice and shares her life with her dog, Jack Jack. Her journey reflects resilience, intellectual rigor, and a deep commitment to transforming reentry through purpose-driven leadership.
