EdTrust is committed to ensuring this website is accessible and inclusive to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. This website is an ongoing project, and we will continue to evaluate and improve edtrust.org to ensure it complies with accessibility best practices. We are actively working toward meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our baseline standard.
Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:
Contrast and Visibility: Our website uses a color scheme that prioritizes readability and contrasts to ensure content is discernible for all users, including those with visual impairments.
Legible Typography: We’ve selected fonts that that not only are easy to read but also provide ample size and color contrast to accommodate various visual needs.
Plain Language Use: We aim for clear and straightforward content, making information for most non-technical content understandable and approachable for all users in English.
Alternative Text, Captions, and Descriptions: We are working to ensure that every image on our site is paired with meaningful alt text, ensuring that screen readers can aptly describe the content to users with visual impairments. However, some of our older videos do not have captions and PDFs are not accessible.
Languages: This website is written in English as the default language, but text is convertible to various other languages using external tools which provides an automated translation of the content.
Please note: The context of the text may not be taken into account during translation, and the translation may lose some of its intended meaning. Some items on the site, including images containing text, videos with captioning, PDF documents, or maps will not be translated, and some features on the site may not work in the translated versions. EdTrust cannot guarantee the accuracy of the translated text. Where there is any question, the English version is always the authoritative version of this website.
