As accounting manager, Patricia manages EdTrust’s day-to-day accounting and compliance operations.
Patricia brings over 30 years of accounting and financial management experience across the nonprofit and education sectors. Throughout her career in senior accounting and finance leadership roles, she has extensive experience overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Patricia is also experienced in developing accounting policies and partnering with senior leadership, auditors, and other stakeholders to advance organizational goals.
She holds Master of Science in Professional Accounting from Strayer University, a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bowie State University, and an associate’s degree in applied science in accounting from Prince George’s Community College. Outside of work, Patricia enjoys living life to the fullest and spending quality time with family and friends.
What drew you to education?
The value of education was instilled in me as a child as a pathway to securing a good job. After working for public charter schools, I have seen the inequities in education and the need for policy reform.
Why are you passionate about working at EdTrust?
I believe in the mission that students of color and those from low-income backgrounds have the right to a high-quality education regardless of race, ethnicity, class, or identity. I’m happy to support EdTrust in achieving this mission.
