Today, more than half of students in the U.S. are students of color, which is why EdTrust’s mission to overcome the racial and economic barriers in our education system matters more than ever.
For example, we have successfully advocated for:
- Increasing resources for students through an additional $4,000 per student in Tennessee
- Expanding access to advanced STEM coursework for 40% more underserved middle school students in Texas
- Federal policies such as the Advanced Coursework Act, the Books Saves Lives Act, and the Creating A More Positive University Space (CAMPUS) Act
- Successfully championing for more than $350 million additional dollars for low-income students over the last two years in Michigan
