Federal Education Policy: Past, Present, and Future
In this session, participants will hear about what’s moving in the federal policy space right now, how it will impact our education equity work, and what opportunities there are for state advocates to influence federal policy moving forward. Some updates can include, but are not limited to:
- Recaps and updates on COVID relief bills
- Assess where we are right now as lawmakers and the new administration continues to respond to COVID
- Highlight Ed Trust’s key policy interests going forward and how they will be integrated into the fall/winter budget, reconciliation, and appropriations processes
- Both P-12 and Higher Education relevant issues (including NPRM)
