EdTrust in Louisiana Statement on the Passing of State Senator Larry Selders

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The EdTrust in Louisiana team is deeply saddened by the news this week of the passing of State Senator Larry Selders. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, two children, family, friends, colleagues, and the Baton Rouge community he served.

Senator Selders was known as a kind, thoughtful and supportive public servant who put people over politics. He consistently showed a willingness to listen, engage in honest conversation, and work across differences when possible. That openness reflected his deep commitment to service and to the people of Louisiana.

His passing is a tremendous loss for his family, his constituents, and all who had the opportunity to know and work with him. During this difficult time, we join many across the state in honoring his life, his leadership and his dedication to the community he loved.
