India is responsible for supporting office and events operations to ensure that our office space if organized, cleaned, stocked, and welcoming, and that internal and external events run smoothly and professionally. Prior to joining EdTrust, India gained extensive customer service experience across food and beverage and property management. At Placemakr, where she served as a dual property operations coordinator, she strengthened her administrative skills and played a key role in managing events. India has always had a heart for serving others.
India holds a bachelor’s in political science with a minor in sociology from North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

My favorite sports team is the Washington Commanders, as I’m a D.C. native! Go Commanders!
What drew you to education?
I have always had a strong passion for education, rooted in my childhood and naturally evolving as I continue to grow. I consider myself a sponge — someone who enjoys absorbing new information and learning multiple things at once.

I’m passionate about working at EdTrust because it combines two things I value most: serving my community and supporting meaningful work through my administrative responsibilities. Being part of an organization so deeply committed to education equity is rewarding, and I’m grateful to contribute — even in a small way — to a larger mission.
