What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work? (Ex. Hobbies, volunteer work)

My favorite pastime is cooking, specifically grilling. My favorite thing to grill is chicken or steak, which is why I can no longer order those items at restaurants!

What drew you to education?

As a first-generation college graduate of an immigrant family, education quickly became important to me after recognizing the sacrifices my parents made for my education. They provided me with an opportunity to live a better life and I am motivated to advocate for education equity.

Why are you passionate about working at Ed Trust?

My mission is to have a direct impact on communities of color and low-income students that are denied the benefits of policies due to economic or racial inequalities. EdTrust’s mission and values directly align with mine, which motivates me more to show up and work hard every single day.
