Dr. Zaria Davis is a senior associate with the Pretrial Justice Institute, where she advocates for safe, fair, and effective pretrial justice practices and policies through racial justice. She previously served as executive director of Lincoln Heights Outreach, assisting families toward self-sufficiency.
As a 2019 JustLeadershipUSA Leading with Conviction Fellow, Dr. Davis is helping build a movement to decarcerate the United States. She is the owner of New Direction Coaching & Consulting, LLC, helping individuals through life transitions, career or personal shifts, and nonprofit and reentry consultation. In 2019, she launched Filling the Gap, a nonprofit that addresses many of the gaps in service for formerly incarcerated individuals. She serves on the steering committee for the Unlock Higher Ed Coalition and is a founding member of the Cincinnati chapter of All of Us or None.
Dr. Davis holds a Doctor of Social Work from Capella University, a master’s in Social Work from University of Cincinnati, and a BA in Sociology from Wilberforce University.
