The Ed Trust Family Fellowship is an initiative to equip parents and families to work alongside leaders in their communities to ensure that underserved children have access to a high-quality education. The fellowship supports family leaders by building on their skills, knowledge, and experiences and encouraging them to engage in important policy conversations.
Fellows receive coaching and mentoring as well as access to resources, trainings, and support to be strong advocates. This cohort will engage civil rights, business, and community leaders in their states to work on issues important to their communities.
“The opportunity to be a part of the inaugural Ed Trust Family Fellowship has given me renewed hope,” said Penny Christian, 16th District PTA President Elect, Lexington, KY. “As education advocates, we now know we are not alone in the fight to empower marginalized families. Once we can get those in power to understand the importance of having parents at the education table, all of our children will win.”
