During both days of Ed Trust’s virtual Bootcamp on April 14-15, we focused our time together as Texas advocates on key bills headed into the final weeks of the 87th Texas Legislative session.
On Day 1, we focused on where we are in session, the status of the state budget and federal funds, and key bills to address unfinished learning.
On Day 2, we focused on key bills to create safe and supportive school climates and advance college readiness and success.
Special thanks to all of our guest presenters: Sydney Grice (Teach Plus Policy Fellow), Patrick Steck (Deans for Impact), Alycia Castillo (Texas Criminal Justice Coalition), Andrew Hairston (Texas Appleseed), Chris Walters (Texas 2036) and Kate Greer (The Commit Partnership) for sharing their expertise.
