A Seat at the Policymaking Table: Supporting the Advocacy of Ed Prep Leaders at Minority-Serving Institutions

Ed Trust partnered with Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity to conduct focus groups with educator preparation leaders at Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) in Texas. Despite the pivotal role these leaders play in cultivating a more diverse teacher workforce, their expertise is too often left out of policy discussions impacting their candidates and their programs. Our new brief shares the findings and recommendations of these leaders to ensure their seat at the policymaking table.
