Throughout his work, he has focused on practical policy that improves communities and advances equity and opportunity for all. He is excited to return to work close to home in Tennessee and looks forward to renewing his interest in education policy
Aden is a Tennessee native who grew up in Sevier County and attended Pi Beta Phi Elementary and Gatlinburg-Pittman High School. During high school, he focused heavily on fostering educational opportunity, equity, and student success. He helped found two programs focused on mental health and suicide prevention for both middle and high school students, expanded his school’s peer tutoring program to make it accessible to the entire student body, and hosted a post-high school workshop exposing high school students to a variety of post-secondary opportunities and the resources necessary to reach them. He feels strongly that students should have equal, equitable opportunity to pursue their goals and is excited to work with Ed Trust to improve the support offered to Tennessee students.
