Path to College Tennessee
Carolyn Pippen is the founder and director of Path to College Tennessee, a nonprofit organization that provides professional development and resources to school counselors and college access professionals across the state. Before starting PCT, she led the college counseling departments at two charter high schools in Nashville and served on the undergraduate admissions committee at her alma mater, Vanderbilt University. She received her BA in English and MPP in Education Policy from Vanderbilt and is a member of the Southern and National Associations for College Admissions Counseling, as well as the National College Attainment Network and Center for Nonprofit Management. She is currently working in partnership with Persist Nashville and IvyWise LLC to increase college-going opportunities for all students. She lives in East Nashville with her dog Goose, and spends most of her free time hanging out with her nieces and nephews.
