In season 1, Ed Trust’s writer-in-residence Karin Chenoweth and director of practice Tanji Reed Marshall are discussing the concerted propaganda effort that contends that schools have been taken over by a cabal of teachers intent on humiliating and shaming White children as part of a project to foster division throughout the country. This propaganda has fueled legislation in 21 states and counting. Some states—Texas and Tennessee, among others—have passed the legislation regarding what can and can’t be taught in schools, in some cases explicitly naming critical race theory. In a series of episodes, EdTrusted will explore the causes and implications of this propaganda effort.
