Oasis Center
Aaron McGee is the Vice President of Action, Advocacy, and Education at Oasis Center.
He brings a great blend of leadership experience, program experience and a passion for developing staff and youth to the table, and he combines that experience and passion with a very thoughtful, balanced approach and a servant leader’s heart.
Aaron worked as an independent contractor in 2020, where he managed projects around racial reconciliation for private, government and non-profit clients. Most notably he coordinated a series of state-wide round tables with church, civic, and community leaders and with the goal of presenting recommendations from those discussions to Governor Bill Lee.
From 2015-2019, Aaron was the CEO of the Youth Life Foundation of Tennessee, an organization that ran after-school programs in Nashville and Memphis. At Youth Life, he was a one-person executive team, responsible for 17 staff, HR/Finance/Admin and all fundraising. Prior to leading Youth Life, he was at the YMCA, where he was the Director of the Black Achievers of Middle TN program from 2011-2015.
Aaron has a BS in Mass Communication from Tennessee State University and a Masters in Civic Leadership from Lipscomb. He and his wife Terece have a 4-year-old daughter.
