Reading history books, listening to music, and trying new recipes.

What drew you to education?

The privilege and power of a good education was instilled in me by my mother, who emigrated from Peru to the U.S. for more educational opportunities. From teaching my imaginary play class as a child to watching too many educational documentaries as an adult, I knew a career in education was meant for me.

Why are you passionate about working at EdTrust?

At EdTrust, I can utilize both my policy and research training to fight for a cause I am passionate about: providing equitable educational opportunities for all students. I feel very fortunate that I had the resources to pursue my academic journey, and I want to make sure that all students have the resources and ability to follow their own goals.
