Brooke Allen

Brooke is the founding director of Diverse Learners Cooperative. She leads the DLC’s efforts to connect teachers and leaders with professional learning, resources, and networks that propel best practice for diverse learners and increase teacher retention. She was previously the Director of Student Supports for two charter school networks, a special education consultant, and a former special education and English learner teacher for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. In these roles, she was responsible for coordinating services, coaching teachers, and ensuring that compliance meant thoughtfully planned success for all students. Brooke brings the perspective of a teacher, a deep knowledge of best practice for diverse learners, and a spirit of collaboration to the work of creating higher quality, more inclusive educational opportunities for all.
