Dr. Terrence S. McTier Jr.

Dr. Terrence S. McTier Jr. is a research and equity consultant for current and formerly incarcerated individuals. Dr. McTier previously served as the assistant dean of students: director of student conduct and community standards at Oregon State University, the inaugural director of the Prison Education Project at Washington University in St. Louis, interim dean of students at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and as an assistant professor at Ohio University. Additionally, Dr. McTier was selected as a non-federal negotiator with the U.S. Department of Education to help write the rules for Pell Grant implementation for all incarcerated individuals.

Dr. McTier holds a doctorate in educational policy and evaluation from Arizona State University, a master’s in educational administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a bachelor’s in communications from Kennesaw State University.
