Tennessee College Access Coordinator
Jamie is the Coordinator for College Access, where she works to advance equitable access for students of color and students from low-income families.
Jamie earned her Master of Science in higher education from Florida State University in May 2020. During her graduate school experience, she served as a Graduate Assistant for the Social Justice Living Learning Community for the Center for Leadership and Social Change. She created curriculum grounded in intergroup dialogue and facilitated discussions on social change and leadership.
She is a Miami native and proud daughter of two compassionate immigrant parents from Barbados and credits them for her success.

What are people most surprised to learn about you?
I love cars and can drive stick shift.
What drew you to education?
Growing up in an immigrant household- education was always important. My mother was an English teacher growing up and she taught me so much through reading books. I wanted to continue that experience with my work.
