Jennifer Novo is the Executive Director of FUTURO, Inc, a college-success professional development organization in Middle-Tennessee. Jennifer has over a decade and a half of experience working with college students. Her work as faculty and staff, in areas related to student retention, access and success, instruction, and student advising has given her the capacity to have a better understanding of how to address the issues that concern students and administrators. During her time in higher education, she has held various roles including Director of Student Success, University Student Retention Specialist, Dean of Student Success, and Director of Academic Enhancement Center. She played a critical role in the development of various campus-wide efforts to decrease student attrition and programming at the university level. She is committed to student success and issues of equity. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. She is proud of her Latina roots, she is a first-generation American and first-generation college graduate. Jennifer also works as a Client Executive for Culture Shift Team, a diversity and inclusion, multicultural marketing, and PR consultancy. She is from Miami, Florida, and lives in Mount Juliet with her husband and son.
