Sarah Brody

Sarah leads the Human Resources function at The Education Trust. Her work focuses on building a diverse, thriving workforce to deliver on the organization’s mission.

Prior to joining Ed Trust, Sarah served as the Director of Talent Development for Cincinnati Public Schools, where she set strategy and led the department’s efforts to attract and retain excellent teachers and administrators. Before that, Sarah spent nearly a decade at the National Council on Teacher Quality. At NCTQ, Sarah served as chief of staff and supported the organization’s work to improve teacher quality and teacher preparation by leading fundraising initiatives.

A native of Atlanta, Sarah began her career and lifelong commitment to advancing equity in public education as a high school English teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in history and English, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons, Sidney and Miles.

Why are you passionate about working at Ed Trust? I began my career as a teacher, and I have since spent more than a decade working in support of education equity. Ed Trust’s research and advocacy have long provided inspiration and hope to me in the various roles I’ve held. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s mission through its human resources function.
