What drew you to education?
I grew up in a low-income area in San Antonio and a lot of people (family, friends, teachers, counselors) helped me get to the University of Texas at Austin. It changed my life and I want to help other students from low-income neighborhoods have the opportunity to get a good education.

Why are you passionate about working at Ed Trust?
Ed Trust has a very dedicated, smart staff who truly care about advocating for the best education policies that will make schools better. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious.
