Dinash Lal

Dinash Lal currently serves as the Chief of Staff of the Masten District Office of the City of Buffalo’s Common Council. He provides legislative and administrative support to Councilmember Ulysees O. Wingo, of the Masten District and City of Buffalo. He formerly served as the Chief of Staff of the entire Common Council for the City of Buffalo. Previous to his time with the City, he served as a Program Director of two community micro-loan programs, serving three counties in Western New York. Dinash attended the University at Buffalo earning a B.A. in History-Political Science and continued his education earning a Master’s in Public Administration at SUNY Buffalo State College. Dinash has served on a number of communities’ Board of Directors, including most recently as the Governance Committee Chair of the BOD of Young Audiences of WNY and Board Treasurer of the Urban Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the Corresponding Secretary and Chair of the Home School Committee for the District Parent Coordinating Council. He has also joined the Buffalo Cooperative Federal Credit Union BOD. Dinash is originally from Queens, NY and has resided in Buffalo for 16 years with his wife and two sons.
