Barbi Brown

Justice Fellow

Barbi joined the Tennessee Higher Education Initiative (THEI) in 2020 and is currently serving as the director of policy and practice. In addition to Barbi’s role at THEI, she is also a member of Unlock Higher Ed, Formerly Incarcerated College Graduates Network (FICGN), Free Hearts, and is a Lipscomb Initiative for Education (LIFE) ambassador. She holds a bachelor’s in professional studies from Lipscomb University and believes strongly in the transformative power of education, collaboration, and community to push for positive change within our society.
